Outer Islands off-shelf Fisheries

Pulau Bando, Pieh, Pandan, Toran, Laut. Spectacular reef drop-offs and high diversity of coral and fish species. High potential for marine tourism and Scuba diving. However, due to illegal fishing activities with use of explosives (targeting yellowtail fusiliers as bait for tuna-longliners) and cyanide (targeting high-priced groupers, wrasses and rock-lobsters for life-export to Hongkong), some reef sections are already destroyed.
